Cosi' Fan Tutte
Mozart's Opera Buffa

Two officers, Ferrando and Guglielmo, make a bet with Don Alfonso that their fiancées, sisters Fiordiligi and Dorabella, will remain faithful when tested. The men pretend to go to war, then return in disguise to woo each other's partners, a scheme orchestrated by Don Alfonso and the maid Despina.
The short title, Così fan tutte, literally means "So do they all", using the feminine plural (tutte) to indicate women. The libretto was written by Lorenzo Da Ponte who also wrote Le nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni.
